Hyundai Updates Creta With More Features

Hyundai silently updated the Creta with more features on the top and mid-spec variants while some of the features on base-trim has been deleted. But the revision doesn’t come at a price hike, which is really good for the consumer. The top-spec SX and SX (O) variants now get Over The Air (OTA) updates for the infotainment system along with a remote engine-start option in the key for both manual and automatic variants like the Kia Seltos.

The voice commands now come with some new features like power window control for the driver, contact number information, point of interest search on the maps, sports updates etc. Hyundai has also added a greeting message and it will change depending on the time of the day like Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening, even it will say like wear seat belts, this is a really good feature from Hyundai as it increases the feel-good factor.

Along with this, the company has also added a new soft paint finish on the dashboard and it will improve the overall appeal of the cabin apart from this the design remains the same. The important addition on the mid-spec EX and S is the introduction of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so the customers don’t need to connect the smartphone to the infotainment system. Most of the customers really appreciate it as they need to carry one less cable while driving.

The big deletion of features is on the base E-variant as the company removed electrically adjustable wing mirrors, luggage lamp in the boot and passenger seat-back pocket. The indicators have been repositioned to the front fender and the entry-level model price starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The Creta comes with a 1.5 L diesel and petrol engines with a 1.4 L turbo petrol unit with manual and automatic transmission options.
