Hyundai Ioniq 6 Showcased At the 2023 Auto Expo

Hyundai showcased the flagship electric sedan of the brand the Ioniq 6 in the country at the 2023 auto expo. The vehicle features a very distinct design and styling with more creases and lines that is very much similar to the premium Genesis models. The Ioniq 6 is also built on the same E-GMP platform that underpins the Ioniq 5 launched in the country. The Ioniq models of the brand is very much exciting in the autoexpo. The vehicle host the elegance of a electric vehicle with its futuristic styling combined with retro looks. However unlike the Ioniq 5 the Ioniq 6 uses a very curvy rounded design language.

The electric sedan measures 4,855mm in length, 1,880mm in width, 1,495mm in height and 2,950mm in wheelbase. The vehicle host a free-flow design along with the flush door handles and cameras in place instead of traditional ORVMs largely helps in the aerodynamics of the vehicle thus Ioniq 6 claims a drag coefficient of just 0.21. The interior of the vehicle is very much spacious and minimalistic just like the Ioniq 5.

The Ioniq 6 comes with two battery size options – the entry-level 53kWh and the larger 77kWh (also available on the Ioniq 5). Single motor RWD set-up will be standard with higher variants getting dual motor AWD option as well. The Ioniq 6 Dual Motor makes 320hp and 605Nm, which is the same as the Ioniq 5, while the RWD set-up churns out 228hp and 350Nm. The larger battery pack equipped trim has a claimed WLTP range of 614 km with RWD configuration while the all-wheel drive one is good enough for 583 km. However the vehicle is not on offer in India but it is largely expected model from the brand to launch in India later.
