By Hyundai India continues to post positive sales growth in India as the Korean manufacturer sold 49,451 units in November 2023 compared to 48,002 units in the same month last year and posted a Year-on-Year growth of 3 per cent. The strong sales growth is on the back of SUV sales as more than 60 per cent of total sales comes from the SUV lineup. The exports has also gone up as the company exported 16,350 units in November 2023 compared to 16,001 units during the same period last year, which is a 2.18 per cent growth.
The commutative sales of Hyundai in November 2023 stands at 65,801 units compared to 64,003 in the same period last year, which is a growth of 2.80 per cent. Hyundai is experiencing strong demand for its recent new launch, which is Exter as the company has managed to get more than 1,00,000 bookings in a short amount of time as it is the first model of the company in the micro-SUV segment, which was dominated by Tata Punch. Thanks to the incredible response, the waiting period of Exter is more than four months in certain cities.
Apart from Exter, the newly launched Verna is also bringing good numbers as it is the best-selling model in its segment. Recently, Verna has managed to get a five-star safety rating in the Global NCAP test and it gives more confidence to customers. Hyundai is giving more importance to safety as all the models now come with six airbags as standard along with ABS and other features. Hyundai is planning to introduce an updated Creta in the coming months along with new EV models, which will give a big boost for Hyundai.
