Hyundai Continues To Test Creta Facelift In India

Hyundai India continues to test the new Creta extensively across the country as the test mule has been spotted again on public roads. The facelifted Creta is poised to adopt Hyundai’s new design language, taking inspiration from the internationally acclaimed Hyundai Palisade. While significant changes are expected in soft parts, it’s possible that there will be some sheet metal alterations as well. The front profile of the Creta facelift showcases a striking new grille design, redesigned headlights adorned with H-shaped LED DRLs, and a fresh bumper. Spy shots also hint at the presence of an ADAS sensor and a front camera, suggesting the potential addition of a 360-degree camera feature.

On the side, the Creta may retain its overall look but will sport new diamond-cut alloy wheels and possibly an updated cladding design. The rear, on the other hand, is set to undergo a complete transformation with H-shaped LED tail lights and anticipated changes to the tailgate and bumper. Inside the cabin, the spy images indicate substantial dashboard changes. While still under wraps, it’s expected that Hyundai will introduce a single-piece setup with integrated dual screens for the infotainment system and digital cluster, similar to what’s seen in the Kia Seltos facelift. Additionally, the upholstery is likely to receive updates with new color options and materials.

The Creta facelift will offer three engine options, including an updated 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine in addition to the existing 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines. All three powertrains will be available with both automatic and manual transmission choices, offering flexibility to meet various customer preferences. Production of the Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to commence in January 2024, with a showroom debut likely early in the same year.
