Honda Transalp 750 Officially Launched In India At Rs. 10.99 Lakh

Honda has officially launched the XL750 Transalp in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs. 10.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom). This marks the revival of the Transalp name, which Honda Motorcycles used back in the 1980s before discontinuing the model. The iconic name was reintroduced by the Japanese manufacturer last year, making its global debut at EICMA. The Transalp 750 will be available for purchase through Honda BigWing TopLine dealerships, and bookings for this adventure tourer have already commenced.

The Transalp 750 is being brought to India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, and reservations are currently open for the first 100 units. These CBU units are imported directly from Japan, ensuring that most of the features remain consistent. Powering the Transalp is a 755cc liquid-cooled, 24.5-degree inline-two-cylinder four-stroke engine, capable of producing 92hp at 9,500rpm and 75Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and is equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch, along with a bi-directional quick-shifter. Notably, Honda has retained the original engine specifications without detuning for the Indian market.

On the suspension front, the Transalp 750 is equipped with 43mm Showa SFF-CATM telescopic inverted forks in the front and a single Showa unit in the rear. The adventure motorcycle features a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. Braking duties are managed by dual 310mm “wave” discs in the front and a single 256mm disc in the rear. The Transalp offers five ride modes, including Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User adjustable settings. Additionally, the adventure bike comes with a host of advanced features, such as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), dual-channel ABS, throttle-by-wire technology, and an assist slipper clutch.
