Hero MotoCorp To Unveil Adventure Maxi Scooter and Premium Vida V1 Pro Lineup at EICMA 2023

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to make a significant entry into India’s premium scooter market. The company has been diligently working on two new premium scooters, which have already been patented and even spotted undergoing testing. However, there’s more excitement on the horizon as Hero is set to unveil not one, but three scooters at the 2023 EICMA show. Among the trio of scooters teased by Hero, the most intriguing is the prospect of an Adventure Maxi Scooter (ADV) that’s bound to capture the attention of enthusiasts. Flanked by the other two scooters in Hero’s teaser, the Vida V1, available in both single-seat and twin-seat layouts, suggests Hero’s intentions to take the Vida V1 Pro electric scooter global, targeting multiple markets.

The Hero Vida V1 Pro already stands out with its unique features, boasting a twin removable battery setup, a 3.94 kWh battery (combined), and impressive real-world range and top speed figures of 110 km and 80 km/h, respectively. Notable features include a 7-inch TFT display, LED projector headlights, DC fast charging, customizable DIY seating, keyless start, cruise control, intelligent throttle, multiple ride modes, and more. In addition to the Vida V1 Pro scooters, Hero’s teaser also unveils an Adventure Maxi Scooter, a design that Hero has already patented in India.

From the front, the scooter exudes a commanding presence, featuring a tall windscreen for wind protection. The scooter’s dual headlight setup and distinctive design elements emphasize its adventure-ready roots. With 14-inch wheels, RSU telescopic forks in the front suspension, and a twin shock absorber setup at the rear, this ADV scooter is shaping up to be a robust and capable machine. Speculations suggest that the Hero ADV Maxi Scooter may be powered by the Xtreme 160R 4V’s 163.2cc single-cylinder engine with 4V technology and active oil cooling.

With an expected performance output of around 15 bhp and 14 Nm of torque, this scooter is set to compete with models like the Yamaha Aerox 155 in a niche segment. It marks Hero’s foray into non-step-through scooters in modern times, featuring a center spine that could house the fuel tank and offer ample under-seat storage. If priced around Rs. 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hero ADV Maxi Scooter is expected to undercut the Yamaha Aerox 155 by up to Rs. 27,000 and will be available at Hero’s new Premia dealerships. With this exciting lineup, Hero MotoCorp is poised to make a significant impact in India’s premium scooter market.
