By The EcoSport is the bread and butter model for the American manufacturer in India and they introduced the 2021 model in January with lots of changes. When compared to the competitor’s sales are low and one of the reasons is because of its age as EcoSport is one of the oldest models in its segment. To improve sales, the company is planning to introduce an update for the Titanium S variant and it is expected to be introduced soon.
Some of the changes coming for the Titanium S variant include updated front and rear along with tweaked headlamps and LED DRLs will be placed below the headlamps. The front and rear bumper will get some changes along with LED tail lamps rounding off the exterior changes. Some rumours also indicate that Ford might introduce some new colour options on the S variant to differentiate it from the regular model.
The interior change might be limited to just a new touch-screen infotainment system. The current model has an 8-inch infotainment system which might not change for the new model but the software will be updated and it might result in new features. The Titanium S variant is already packed with features like a sunroof (Which was introduced during the last update), climate control, reverse camera with parking sensors, electronically controlled exterior mirrors and more.
The EcoSport is one of the safest compact SUV in its segment and it is packed with features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, Emergency Assistance and more. Ford is offering both diesel and petrol engines with EcoSport. The petrol engine is 1.5 L unit producing 122 PS and 149 Nm while the diesel engine is also 1.5 L unit with 100 PS. These engines are mated to manual and automatic gearbox options.
