Citroen C3 Aircross Spied In India Without Camouflage

Citroen is going to enter the Indian market with the C5 Aircross and the company has already commenced bookings for the SUV as the launch is expected to take place next month. The French manufacturer confirmed earlier that they will launch one model every year for the next five years and the next model is going to be a compact SUV, which will be based on a new platform and will initially launch in India before going global.

Now the C3 Aircross has been spied in India for the first time. The test mule only hides the Citroen logo at the front and rear but the model can be easily identified thanks to the family look. The C3 Aircross won’t be launched in India even though it is a smaller version of the C5 Aircross but the upcoming compact SUV will share lots of components with this model so we can expect the C3 Aircross to be seen on our roads more frequent.

The exterior design theme of C3 Aircross is similar to C5 Aircross as the front gets the signature grille design of Citroen with logo neatly integrated into it. The split headlamps give a premium feel and the test mule spotted coming with projector headlamps set up. One of the highlights of the C3 Aircross is the black plastic cladding, which runs across the body as it gives an SUV look for the compact SUV with black alloy wheels.

The rear gets the same LED tail lamps as the C5 Aircross with an integrated spoiler. One of the reasons for the C3 Aircross not coming to India is because of its length as it is more than 4 metres and Citroen need to invest a significant amount of money to re-engineer the model for the Indian market. The upcoming SUV is expected to share the platform with the next-generation Jeep Renegade as it is one of the most awaited models from the American manufacturer.
