BYD Seal To Get Two Battery Packs In India

BYD Seal will be officially launched in India on March 11. The company has officially opened bookings for the Seal today. Earlier this week, some reports indicated that the Seal could be offered with just one battery pack option but the new leaked details confirmed that BYD is going to offer two different battery packs in India. The 61.4 kWh battery pack is expected to be offered on the entry-level with single motor options while the bigger 82.5 kWh battery pack is likely to come in top-end variants with dual-motors.

The exact power and torque figures are yet to be revealed but the smaller 61.4 kWh battery pack is expected to return 460 km while the 82.5 kWh battery comes with a 570 km range. These claimed figures are expected to be almost the same as the real-world range. BYD is known for its real-world claimed range. In India, the Seal is going to be offered in three variants – Standard, Extended Range and Performance. As we mentioned earlier, the Performance variant could come with an 82.5 kWh battery pack.

In India, the Seal will be offered in four different colour options – Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Arctic Blue. Some of the features that is going to come with the Seal include – a rotatable touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, powered front-row seats with ventilation, wireless charger, level 2 ADAS suite, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree surround camera, head-up display, memory function for ORVMs, auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
