BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 With Split Seat Dealer Dispatch Commenced

Bajaj commenced the dealership dispatch of the updated BS6 Pulsar 125 with split seat option and the model has been spotted at a dealership recently. The company is already offering the BS6 variant of Pulsar 125 but the split seat model was not part of it and the Pulsar maker is yet to list the model in its official website. The Pulsar 125 with split seat is the sportier version of the regular model and it comes with a number of changes too.

One of the major changes of the entry-level performance bike is the introduction of split-seat along with split grab rails which gives a sporty look. Bajaj is also offering an engine cowl and the model comes with sporty graphics on the front fender, fuel tank extension and side body panels. The new model also gets “125” badge near the split grab rail. All these changes helps the Pulsar 125 Split Seat model to look exactly like the Pulsar 150, which is one of the most popular model of the Pulsar family.

Apart from these design changes, Pulsar 125 With split seat model is powered by the same engine from the regular model, which is the 124.4 cc single-cylinder engine producing 12 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The introduction of Pulsar in the 125 cc segment helped Bajaj to improve its market share in the entry segment and the new model is likely to be priced at a premium of 3,000 – 5,000 Rs.

Like the earlier BS4 version, Bajaj won’t offer the Pulsar 125 with split seat option across the country and sales will be limited to certain states. The braking duties on Pulsar 125 will be taken care by 170 mm disc at the front and 130 mm drum at the rear. Bajaj is offering 17-inch wheels with 80/100 section tyre at the front and 100/90 section at the rear. The Pulsar 125 with split seat gets telescopic forks at the front and dual-gas charged suspension at the rear.
