By Ather officially launched the new Rizta electric scooter in India at the starting price of Rs. 1.10 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) for the starting model. The Rizta is the first electric scooter from Ather after the 450 Series, which included different variants. The design theme of the Rizta electric scooter is completely different from the 450 Series as it is designed as a family scooter. Featuring a spacious, comfortable long seat capable of accommodating two adults, the Rizta promises a delightful riding experience. The sleek taillamp and integrated indicators add a touch of modernity to its aesthetics.
Ather has engineered the Rizta’s frame, starting from the 450X’s aluminium unit but with significant enhancements. The rear has been widened and the height reduced, enhancing manoeuvrability and usability, particularly in slow-speed scenarios, which are common in urban settings. Weighing in at 119kg, the Rizta competes favourably with other practical e-scooters in its class, offering a manageable seat height and ample ground clearance. Available in S and Z variants, the Rizta offers flexibility in battery capacity, with the Z variant featuring both 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh options.
In terms of performance, the Rizta doesn’t disappoint. With a claimed top speed of 80kph and impressive range figures, it’s poised to meet the demands of urban commuters. Notably, it’s the first electric scooter in India to feature traction control, adding an extra layer of safety. The Rizta comes equipped with a range of features, including riding modes, reverse gear, hill-hold, and Magic Twist technology, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride. The S variant boasts a DeepView LCD dash, while the Z variant features a TFT dash for enhanced functionality. The deliveries of Rizta are set to commence in July.
