By Usually, most manufacturers tend to increase prices during the new year because of various factors but Ather is taking a different approach as the company has announced that the entry-level 450S price has been reduced, which makes it easier for customers to access the model. Ather introduced the 450S last year to take on the aggressively priced Ola S1 X. The 450S was priced at Rs. 1.30 lakh but the company has reduced the price by Rs. 21,000 which is a big drop and now the model is priced at Rs. 1.09 Lakh.
The company also offers a pro-pack with the 450S as it comes with lots of connected features and it is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh but the company has reduced the price by Rs. 26,000 and the new price is Rs. 1.19 lakh. The new prices certainly make the 450S even more attractive as it is one of the best-level electric scooters in its segment. The 450S is powered by a 2.9 kWh battery pack and the maximum power output of the motor is 5.4 kWh while the torque output is 22 Nm, which does make the scooter fast enough for city speeds.
0-40 kph comes up in just 3.9 sec and the top speed is 90 kph. The certified range of the 450S is 115 km but the real-world range is likely to be around 90 km. The 450S can be charged from 0-80 per cent charge in 6 hours and 36 Minutes. The company also offers a fast charging option for the 450S and customers can choose the Ather Grid but it will cost 1.5 Km/Min. We can expect the sales of 450S to improve in the coming months with the price reduction as the Indian Start-Up recently introduced Ather 450 Apex, which is a performance variant.
