Aprilia To Begin Deliveries Of RS 457 This Month

Aprilia officially launched the RS 457 at the 2023 India Bike Week as it was one of the anticipated bikes to hit the Indian market. Currently, the Italian manufacturer has 31 dealerships across India that are authorised to sell the RS 457 and the initial batch of 100 units of RS 457 dispatch is likely to begin soon as the first set of customers will get the motorcycle soon. One of the highlights of RS 457 is that it is made in India and the company is planning to ramp up the production to increase the number of deliveries.

The RS 457 is priced at Rs. 4.1 Lakh (Ex-Showroom), which makes the performance motorcycle value for money as it easily undercuts the competition. The sad news is that enthusiasts in Kerala don’t have an option to buy the RS 457 as we currently don’t have any dealerships. The heart of the new RS 457 is the 457 cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine producing 48 hp of power and it comes with a 270-degree crankshaft, which is not very common in this range of motorcycles but the added benefit is that the exhaust note is going to be firey, which will make it popular but the refinement won’t take a back seat as it will par among with its competitors from Austria.

The RS 457 boasts an aluminium perimeter frame akin to the larger RS 660, emphasizing agility and precise handling. Suspension duties are entrusted to a preload-adjustable 41mm USD front fork offering 120mm of travel, while the preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear provides 130mm of travel. With a dry weight of 159kg, the fully fueled weight is 175kg, ensuring a nimble and responsive ride. Braking performance is addressed by a single 320mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc featuring ByBre components. The RS 457 proudly debuts with TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres, renowned for their impressive grip and performance.
