IBW 2023 : Aprilia RS 457 Launched In India At Rs. 4.1 Lakh

Aprilia RS 457 officially launched in India at the starting price of Rs. 4.1 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Maharashtra) is an excellent competitive price and it is not an introductory price. The bookings will officially commence from December 15 and the deliveries are expected to begin from March 2024. The RS 457 was one of the most-awaited models to be introduced in India since its global debut and later the company showcased the model at Bharat GP. The fully-faired performance motorcycle is manufactured exclusively at its Baramati factory in Maharashtra and will be exported to different parts of the world.

The heart of the new RS 457 is the 457 cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine producing 48 hp of power and it comes with a 270-degree crankshaft, which is not very common in this range of motorcycles but the added benefit is that the exhaust note is going to be firey, which will make it popular but the refinement won’t take a back seat as it will par among with its competitors from Austria. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip and assist clutch while a quick shifter is offered as an option.

The RS 457 boasts an aluminium perimeter frame akin to the larger RS 660, emphasizing agility and precise handling. Suspension duties are entrusted to a preload-adjustable 41mm USD front fork offering 120mm of travel, while the preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear provides 130mm of travel. With a dry weight of 159kg, the fully fueled weight is 175kg, ensuring a nimble and responsive ride. Braking performance is addressed by a single 320mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc featuring ByBre components. The RS 457 proudly debuts with TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tires, renowned for their impressive grip and performance.
