By MG officially launched the 2024 MY of Astor in Kerala today at EVM Coastline Garages. The grand unveiling took place with Roshan Mathew Joseph, Co-Founder of Pilot On Wheels, doing the honours, showcasing the enhanced features and capabilities of the updated Astor. The 2024 MG Astor is available in five variants – Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro, the company has changed the name of the variants even though most of the features are the same as the earlier model.
The 2024 MY of the Astor comes with some new features like ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as it was wired on the earlier model. The new model of the Astor has also retained the panoramic sunroof while some of the other stand-out features include a 360-degree surround camera and Level 2 ADAS suite to enhance safety and assist in navigating various driving scenarios. One of the standout features of the new MG Astor is its comprehensive i-Smart 2.0 system, offering an impressive array of over 80 connected features.
The integration of a Jio-powered voice recognition system and a digital key function with an anti-theft feature adds an extra layer of convenience and security for the users. The Astor comes with a 1.3 L turbo petrol engine producing 138 BHP of power and 220 Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a 6-speed torque convertor while the 1.5 L naturally aspirated petrol engine comes with 108 BHP of power and 144 Nm of torque.
