2023 Honda City Facelift Leaked Ahead Of Official Debut

Honda is going to introduce the updated City facelift in India next month. Ahead of the official debut, the photos of the new City have been leaked online. As we reported earlier, the changes for the City facelift are minor as the front gets a revised grille with less chrome while the honeycomb black finish has been increased. The company has also updated the front bumper, and the facelift version has retained LED fog lamps.

The designers haven’t made any changes on the side as the alloy wheels look similar to the current model. The changes to the rear are limited to the new bumper. Honda has also added a unique blue colour, and we expect all the colour options from the current model to be retained on the facelift version. The interior design is carried over from the pre-facelift model but the company will add some new features like ventilated seats, and updated software for infotainment to name a few.

The biggest update for the City is in the engine lineup as the sedan will be only available with petrol because the Japanese have decided to discontinue the diesel engine. To meet the new emission norms, Honda needs to invest a lot of money in diesel engines which is not worth it. The 1.5 L petrol engine produces 121 hp and the hybrid engine produces 126 PS. The non-hybrid comes with both manual and auto while the Hybrid comes only with an e-CVT gearbox.
