Updated Nissan Kicks Teased Ahead Of Global Debut On December 8

Nissan is going to introduce the much-awaited updated Kicks on December 8 in the global market as it is one of the most popular models of the company. The new Kicks has been already introduced in Thailand and the global-spec version is expected to carry forward the same design theme. The teaser image shows the LED headlamps while all other areas are blackened but we can clearly see that the design theme is similar to Thai-version.

The India-spec Kicks is different from the global version as it is the based on the same old platform of Duster but we could expect Nissan to introduce the new Kicks in India as the Magnite is doing really well for the manufacturer and it could help the Kicks too. The new Kicks gets an evolutionary design theme as the front gets new V-motion grille along with big LED headlamps and new fog lamps along with an updated bumper.

But the side design is similar to the earlier Kicks as the designers made minor changes for the panels. One major change is that rearview mirrors were earlier placed on the door but on the new version it is placed on the A-pillar. The rear gets updated LED tail lamps along with a new bumper and we can expect Nissan to introduce new colour options too. Nissan updated the interior of Kicks but the design theme remains to be same.

Like the Magnite, the AC vents on the centre console are inspired by Lamborghini Urus. The touch screen is now placed in the middle of the dashboard instead of on the top and the instrument cluster is part digital too. Nissan might add some more features on the Kicks too. The engine lineup of the global spec model is yet to be revealed and the gearbox options will include both manual and CVT options. Stay tuned to Pilot On Wheels for the detailed report on December 8.
