Updated Kawasaki ZX-6R To Launch At IBW 2023

India Bike Week will officially commence on December 8th and manufacturers are gearing up to make the most of it as multiple launches are planned at this year’s biking festival. Kawasaki is going to be one of the prominent manufacturers at this year’s India Bike Week as they are planning to introduce more than three products at this year’s IBW and among all the products, the big launch is going to be the re-introduction of ZX-6R as it is one of the most awaited performance bikes to be launched this year.

The ZX-6R was already on sale in the Indian market but the company discontinued the model earlier this year as the Japanese manufacturer introduced a new version of the motorcycle globally. One of the major changes in the new models is its design as it now looks similar to its bigger cousins with redesigned LED headlamps which look even more sharper than earlier while the fairing has been redesigned too. At the rear, Kawasaki has made some changes to the tail lamps and the performance bike will be offered in KRT colours, black, silver and red.

Another major change on the updated ZX-6R is the introduction of a new Bluetooth-enabled TFT screen, which gets a call and SMS notification function. The ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 129 hp of power at 13,000 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 10,800 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a two-way quick-shifter for upshifter and downshifts. Kawasaki offers four riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport and Rider as well as traction control too, which makes it riding much safer.
