Suzuki officially launched the much-awaited Burgam Street EX in the Indian market at Rs. 1.12 lakh (Ex-Showroom). This 125 cc scooter stands out from the regular scooters seen in India with a distinctive design like a maxi scooter with the largest dimensions in length, width and height. The Suzuki Burgman Street comes with a few updates over the existing model, now the scooter has a 25 mm longer wheelbase which enables it to cram in 12-inch alloy wheels instead of 10-inch rims at the rear with wider tyres enhancing the grip and stance.
The new Birgment Street gets an updated Suzuki Eco performance Alpha engine- the 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine that produces 8.5 bhp and 10 Nm of torque that offers high fuel efficiency and better acceleration performance. It also comes with an engine auto stop-start (EASS) system and the scooter also gets a silent starter system. In terms of design, the company has followed the same footsteps as the earlier model.
Suzuki offers a ride connect system in the new Burgman Street EX with Bluetooth connectivity. It enables the rider to connect the smartphone with the display featuring turn-by-turn navigation, incoming calls, SMS and WhatsApp alert display, missed call and unread SMS alert, speed exceeding warning, phone battery level display & estimated time of arrival. The EX variant will be available in 3 different colour options- metallic matte platinum silver, metallic royal bronze and metallic matte black. The new Burgman street EX is Rs 19000 more than the standard version as it takes on the premium segment competing against Aprilia SXR 125, vespaZX125 & TVS NTorq.
