Skoda Slavia Facelift Spied For The First Time

Skoda is gearing up to refresh its mid-sized sedan, the Slavia, and a test mule has been spotted for the first time in Pune. The heavily camouflaged vehicle suggests that significant updates are on the horizon. Despite the camouflage, the overall silhouette of the Slavia remains familiar, maintaining its sedan-like proportions and characteristically high ride height. The spy images reveal LED tail lamp clusters and a shark fin antenna, hinting at some of the retained design elements. The test car also features pull-type door handles and is equipped with black alloy wheels, adding to its sporty appearance.

The facelifted Slavia is expected to receive subtle cosmetic changes, particularly around the front fascia. These updates might include a refreshed grille and bumper design. In addition to the exterior tweaks, Skoda is likely to introduce new features to enhance the car’s technological appeal. Notably, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) could be part of the new package, providing drivers with enhanced safety and convenience. Under the hood, the Slavia facelift is anticipated to continue with the existing engine lineup.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 114 BHP and 178 Nm of torque, will likely remain a staple. For those seeking more power, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 148 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, will also be available. Transmission options are expected to stay the same, offering a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. As a mid-life update, the Slavia facelift aims to bolster its appeal in the competitive mid-sized sedan segment. With the inclusion of new technology and minor design enhancements, Skoda hopes to attract a broader range of customers while maintaining the core attributes that have made Slavia a popular choice.
