Nissan To Launch Magnite On December 2

Nissan is going to launch the much-awaited new Magnite on December 2. Earlier the model was expected to launch later this week but the company pushed the launch towards next week. The Magnite is going to be a make or break model for the Japanese manufacturer in the Indian market as the company is struggling to survive because of the lack of new models and even the Kicks was not a big success while the Datsun sales are low too.

The Magnite is based on modular CMF-A+ platform, which is used in most of the entry-level Renault-Nissan models. The exterior design theme of Magnite is completely different from other Nissan models as it is the first model to be based on the new design direction of Nissan. The front gets wider grille with new Nissan logo, which made its debut earlier this year and the headlamps are sleek with full LED projector setup and white lighting.

The front bumper is also new with big J-shape LED DRLs in it and fog lamps are projector too. The Magnite gets 16-inch alloy wheels along with function roof rails and new tail lamps at the rear. The interior design is also new as the highlight of the dashboard is 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The instrument cluster is also fully digital with customising options.

The Magnite is loaded with features like wireless charging, JBL speakers, 360-degree camera, puddle lamps and more. Nissan is offering the Magnite with two engine options. The 1.0 L naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 72 PS while the 1.0 L turbo petrol engine comes with 100 hp and 172 Nm of torque. The gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox option for the turbo petrol variant. We are expecting Nissan to price the Magnite between Rs. 5.5 and 9.5 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
