Nissan Magnite Teased Ahead Of Debut On July 16

Nissan officially teased the upcoming Magnite compact SUV again and it will make its debut as a concept model on July 16th in Japan. According to reports, the concept will be very close to the production model. The Magnite will be the smallest SUV in Nissan’s lineup and the new model is likely to be launched in global markets but India is expected to be a key market as future of Nissan in India depends on the success of this model.

The teaser shows the front three-quarters of Magnite as the headlamps will be full-LED units and the design took some inspiration from Audi. The front bumper comes with a signature L-shape LED DRLs and we have seen this same design theme of the recently updated Redigo also. The wheel arches get a square shape with black plastic cladding running across the body for SUV look while the front gets faux skid plates too.

The front grille design is simple with Nissan logo in the middle, even though this design theme is different from other Nissan models as initially the Magnite was supposed to come under Datsun brand but the Japanese manufacturer has decided to discontinue the brand due to its low demand. The compact SUV might come with chunkier 16-inch alloy wheels and the rear gets LED tail lamps while the roof design is similar to Kicks.

The interior is expected to get a modern design theme with premium materials and the compact SUV will be packed with lots of features like sunroof, touch screen infotainment system, 360-degree camera and more. The Magnite will be powered by 1.0 L engine from Triber along with a powerful 1.0 L turbo petrol unit too. Due to COVID-19, Nissan delayed the launch of Magnite to next year but Renault will launch the Kiger later this year.
