Next-Generation Yamaha R15 V4.0 Rendered With R1 Inspired Design

Yamaha R15 is one of the most popular entry-level performance bikes in the country. The first-generation model was introduced in 2008 and it was the model along with the FZ series that helped Yamaha to make a comeback in the Indian two-wheeler segment. The second-generation V2 model came in 2011 with a completely new different design theme and the V3 was introduced a couple of years back with an evolutionary design theme.

The R15 is the choice for enthusiasts as it’s a perfect beginners bike with excellent handling and adequate power, which will help them after upgrading to a bigger motorcycle. Even though the company hasn’t given details of the next-generation model but an automotive artist, called Abin Designs published a rendering of the R15 Version 4.0 and the design took inspirations from the current generation R1 as it is basically an entry-level R1.

The major change is for the front as the headlamps are slightly smaller than V3 with LED DRLs integrated into it, which gives it a modern feel. The visor also gets a new design along with the fairing, which looks more aerodynamic. The fuel tank comes with a sculpted design and the split seat set-up continues in the new model. The air-curtain below the pillion seat is a good addition as it will improve the airflow and new LED tail lamps too.

The standard exhaust has been replaced by an aggressive unit and it looks more like an aftermarket exhaust. The standard telescopic forks on the V3 updated to upside golden forks. The instrument cluster will be updated with new features and connected tech is expected to come in the new model. Yamaha will use an updated 155 cc engine from the current model with more power and torque with tweaked breaks too.
