The eagerly anticipated next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been leaked ahead of its official launch, and spy shots reveal a striking design overhaul that sets it apart from both the outgoing Dzire and the Swift, upon which it is based. The new Dzire’s front end has been completely redesigned with a unique aesthetic that does not resemble the new Swift, launched earlier this year. Notably, it features a prominent grille flanked by sleek, rectangular LED headlamps that add a sharp, modern look to the sedan. The car’s front also includes a revamped fog lamp housing, accented with bold gloss black trim connecting the headlights, topped with a slim chrome strip to enhance its upscale appeal.
At the rear, the new Dzire sports Y-shaped LED elements in the taillights, with a chrome strip running across the tailgate for a cohesive and refined look. The boot lid’s spoiler-like contour adds a sporty touch, while the sculpted rear bumper complements the car’s mature, sophisticated design. Higher trims are expected to come with stylish diamond-cut alloy wheels, further enhancing the Dzire’s premium appearance.
Inside, the leaked images confirm that the new Dzire will share much of its interior design with the Swift, including the layout of the dashboard and controls. It will feature a 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, providing a modern interface for navigation, media, and car functions. The steering wheel has been redesigned, adding a fresh touch to the cabin’s aesthetics. Expected features include a segment-first electric sunroof, enhancing the Dzire’s appeal in the compact sedan segment. Additionally, the car will come equipped with an analogue instrument cluster paired with a 4.2-inch digital multi-information display (MID), providing drivers with key vehicle information in a crisp, easily accessible format.
Rumours suggest that Maruti Suzuki might introduce advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the higher trims of the new Dzire, which would make it a standout in its category. Powering the new Dzire will be the familiar 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine, the same as the Swift’s, delivering 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. It will also be available in a petrol-CNG variant to cater to eco-conscious drivers. Transmission options include a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, with an automatic transmission available on the petrol variants.
