Honda has unveiled the design sketch of its next-generation Amaze, offering a glimpse into the evolution of its compact sedan. The front fascia showcases a distinct resemblance to the Elevate SUV, with a low-slung and assertive aesthetic. Highlighting the front end are newly designed headlamps accompanied by brow-like LED daytime running lights, elegantly complemented by a slender chrome strip. The sedan also features a hexagonal grille, narrower and more sharply defined than the one found on the Elevate. The well-contoured bumper integrates fog lamp enclosures and a central air intake reminiscent of elements seen in the Honda City.
When viewed from the side, the new Amaze mirrors the profile of the City, sporting a prominent character line stretching from the headlights to the rear. This dynamic crease enhances the sedan’s elongated, refined silhouette, complemented by stylish multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the resemblance to its larger sibling continues, with tail-lamps that closely mimic the City’s design, framing the number plate recess. The bumper has a clean, minimalist appearance, with reflectors positioned on either side, contributing to the sophisticated look.
The interior of the new Amaze draws inspiration from the Elevate SUV, featuring a modern dashboard layout. A large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system—expected to be a 10.25-inch unit—takes center stage, accompanied by intuitive HVAC controls and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel, multifunctional in design, echoes the functionality seen in the Elevate. The center console offers practical amenities, such as a wireless charging pad, USB ports, and cup holders, following a familiar layout. Notably, the dashboard boasts a textured panel merging seamlessly with the air vents, creating a refined and cohesive aesthetic. A two-tone color scheme, with black and beige tones and silver accents, further enhances the cabin’s elegance.
Honda may equip the new Amaze with an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite, marking a significant first in its segment. However, there appears to be no sunroof in the offering. Powering the next-gen Amaze will likely be the existing 1.2-liter petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Speculation also suggests the possibility of a CNG variant being introduced later, expanding the lineup’s versatility.
