New Skoda Fabia Interior Teased Ahead Of Launch

Skoda is going to introduce the fourth generation of Fabia soon and it is the last of the models to be revealed as the updated Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza has been already reached the dealerships. The company has been teasing the model for some time now and the interior sketches released gives us a preview of what to expect from the new model. The design theme will be similar to other Skoda models like the Scala and Kushaq.

The updated Fabia gets a two-spoke design for the steering wheel but the company might offer three-spoke unit in some models and it has various buttons to control functions like music system and instrument cluster. For the first time, Skoda will introduce a fully digital cluster on the Fabia but it will be offered only on the top-end variant. The air-con vents on the edges are circular while those on the centre console is wider and this same design is implemented on most modern Skoda cars.

Skoda Fabia won’t get ride-by-wire tech, which is evident from the big gear knob for the DSG system. The dashboard design is simple and to spice up the cabin, customers can choose a different colour for the various trims. The interior will offer space for both front and rear passengers as the overall dimensions have gone up. The new Fabia measures 4107 mm length, 1780 mm width and 1460 mm tall, which is par among its competitors.

Like most of its other VW siblings, the Fabia will be based on the MQB AO platform, which is used in most of the entry-level models. Globally, Skoda will offer lots of different engine option for the Fabia and even a performance variant can be expected. The global debut of the new Fabia will take place early next month. Skoda might bring the new Fabia to India as VW is planning to introduce the new-generation Polo based on the revised MQB AO IN platform.
