MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the facelift version of the Gloster, a rebadged iteration of the globally updated LDV D90/Maxus D90. The updated Gloster will feature significant design upgrades and subtle interior revisions, enhancing its appeal in the full-size SUV market. The spy shots reveal that the Gloster facelift will sport a striking new fascia, characterized by a massive three-slat grille with the brand logo prominently positioned at the centre. The headlights will undergo a transformation, adopting a cube-shaped split headlamp setup that enhances the SUV’s modern and aggressive look. Additionally, the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) will seamlessly integrate into the grille, adding further character to the front profile.
While the test mule was seen with the same alloy wheels as the current model, it is anticipated that the launch version will feature a new set of alloy wheels, enhancing its side profile. At the rear, the Gloster will boast revised LED taillamps connected by a light bar, contributing to a more cohesive and stylish appearance. The Gloster facelift will continue to offer a plethora of premium features. Inside, it will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated and powered front seats, a wireless charger, a 360-degree surround camera, and a panoramic sunroof.
The safety and convenience will be further enhanced with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, ensuring a safe and comfortable driving experience. Mechanically, the facelifted Gloster is expected to retain the same powertrain options. It will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This engine will be available in two configurations: a single turbo and a twin-turbo variant, delivering a maximum power output of 213bhp and 478Nm of peak torque.
