Kia To Update Seltos With More Features

Kia commenced its India journey with the Seltos and the compact SUV has been selling really well. The Seltos has managed to dethrone its platform-sharing cousin Creta from the top spot. To take on the Seltos, Hyundai introduced the second generation of Creta in March and the new model comes with lots of new features.

Now Kia has responded to Creta with the introduction of some new features on Seltos as part of the 2020 Model Year update and the company is offering more features on the lower variants, which is now more bang for the buck. The highlight new features are remote engine start, emergency stop signal, LED cabin lights and USB charging is now standard across the variants.

Kia Seltos is available in seven variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX and GTX+ along with two different styling package too. The electric sunroof was only available on HTX+ and GTX+ but it will be available in HTX and GTX trims as it is more popular among Indian customers. Kia has added metal garnish on AC controls and grab handle, which will be available from HTX variant onwards.

The HTK+ variant also gets dual-muffler design while the top-end GTX+ will also come with an option of the all-black interior with contrasting red stitching to spice up the cabin. The Korean manufacturer has added metal scuff plates on the HTE and HTK variants. Kia is likely to increase the price of the updated model. The engine lineup for Seltos remains unchanged.
