Kia EV9 Spotted Testing In India Without Camouflage

The Kia EV9 has been spotted testing in India without any camouflage, signalling its imminent debut by the end of FY24-25. New spy shots reveal a test mule of the vehicle, showcasing both its exterior and interior features. The test model, finished in black, highlights the bold design of the EV9, which could also be available in other colours like white, red, blue, silver, and grey. The Kia EV9 stands out with its modern design elements. The front fascia features vertically stacked headlamps and L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

A blanked-off grille and a continuous LED DRL strip along the bonnet enhance its futuristic look. The SUV’s aesthetic appeal is further amplified by dual-tone alloy wheels, front door-mounted ORVMs, silver roof rails, skid plates, two-piece LED taillights, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and a shark-fin antenna. Inside, the EV9 mirrors the global model’s luxurious interior. It sports a four-spoke steering wheel and dual 10.25-inch screens, maintaining an all-black theme that exudes elegance.

Expected features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), multi-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, connected car technology, and electrically adjustable seats for the second row. Under the hood, the 2024 Kia EV9 will be available with two battery options: 76.1kWh and 99.8kWh. These are paired with single and dual electric motor configurations, respectively, providing a driving range of up to 541km on a full charge. Initially, the EV9 is likely to arrive in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), with a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) version anticipated to follow.
