Kawasaki will officially launch the Ninja ZX-6R in India on January 1, 2024, as the Japanese manufacturer had already showcased the Ninja ZX-6R at the India Bike Week. Everyone was expecting the price announcement to take place at the India Bike Week as it was one of the most anticipated models at this year’s IBW. The Japanese manufacturer is going to import the model to the Indian market from its UK plant as the performance bike comes at CBU, we can expect pricing to be on the premium side.
The updated model made its global debut earlier this year and the design changes on the new model are focused at the front as the headlamps get a completely new design, which is inspired by Kawasaki high-end sports bikes especially the ZX-10R and the fairing design is also different from the earlier version. Apart from this, the design remains largely the same as it is one of the best-looking fully-faired motorcycles in its segment. We can expect the company to offer multiple colour options on the ZX-6R.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc inline liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine producing 124 PS of power at 13,000 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 10,800 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and bi-directional quick-shifter. The Ninja ZX-6R offers four different riding modes – Street, Sport, Rain and Rider. The performance bike comes with 310 mm dual-disc brakes at the front and a 270 mm single disc at the rear. The suspension duties are taken care of by Showa Separate Function forks and a gas-charged mono-shock at the rear.
