Hyundai is working on the electric version of Creta for some time now. After the successful launch of the facelifted Creta and the sporty N Line iteration, the Korean automaker is gearing up for the production of the Creta EV, anticipated to commence by the end of this year. Recently, the Creta EV was spied in a production-ready form, offering a glimpse into what buyers can expect. The spied images reveal that the Creta EV will closely follow the design language of the facelifted Creta SUV.
The Creta EV will feature the same striking LED DRLs with a connecting light bar, split LED headlamps, connected LED taillamps, roof rails, and a rear spoiler with an integrated stop lamp. Unique to the EV variant are the aero-designed alloy wheels, highlighting its electric credentials. A notable addition is the blanked-off grille, integrated with a front camera, and an ADAS sensor on the bumper, indicating the inclusion of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Further details spotted include a large black cloth covering the front fender-mounted charging port, previously seen in earlier spy shots. This suggests that Hyundai is diligently working on finalizing the design and functionality of the Creta EV’s charging infrastructure.
The interior of the Creta EV is expected to be as feature-rich as its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. Anticipated features include twin displays for the infotainment and instrument panel, ventilated and powered front seats, a 360-degree surround camera, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an auto-dimming IRVM, rear AC vents, and a wireless charger. These features will ensure that the EV variant does not compromise on comfort and convenience. Under the hood, the Hyundai Creta EV is likely to come with a floor-mounted 50-60kWh battery unit, providing a driving range of up to 500km on a single charge.
