By Datsun officially launched the redi-Go facelift in India at the starting price of Rs. 2.83 lakh (Ex-Showroom). We have already leaked full details of the facelift model. The updated redi-Go comes with lots of changes on the exterior and interior to give an upmarket feel and from the images, it looks like they have got it right this time.
The front gets completely redesigned grille along with new sleeker headlamps and the bumper is also new. Datsun has added L-shape LED DRLs and new LED fog lamps too. The company hasn’t made many changes to the side except for new rearview mirrors and wheel covers, which gives the impression of alloy wheel on the top-spec model while the rear gets a new bumper and tweaked tail lamps.
The interior also gets a major makeover, which was needed as the dashboard design is new. The steering wheel comes from the Go hatchback and new instrument cluster too. But the biggest change is the introduction of a new 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity with Bluetooth and other functions.
Datsun redi-Go continues to be powered by same 0.8 L and 1.0 L engines from the earlier model but these engines are updated to meet BS6 emission norms. The 0.8 L engine produces 54 hp and 72 Nm while the 1.0 L units put out 68 hp and 91 Nm. These engines are mated to a 5-speed manual as standard and the 1.0 L gets the option of an AMT gearbox too.
