BS6 Maruti Super Carry CNG Launched In India At Rs. 5.07 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki officially launched BS6 Super Carry S-CNG in India at Rs. 5.07 lakh (Ex-Showroom) and it is India’s first Petrol BS6 Complaint LCV too. The Super Carry has been a runaway success for the company and the Indo-Japanese manufacturer has opened dedicated commercial dealerships across the country to sell Super Carry.

Even though initially the LCV was available with a diesel engine later the company discontinued the small diesel engine and introduced a petrol engine. The 1.2 L naturally aspirated petrol engine in CNG produces 65.21 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 85 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

But the power output is lower compared to the regular model as this engine produces 73.42 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 98 Nm at 3,000 rpm. Like the CNG variant, this one is also available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The S-CNG model comes with a 5-litre petrol tank along with 70 litre CNG tank, which is more than sufficient.

The company is also focusing on safety as it comes with a micro-switch to prevent ignition during CNG refuelling. As far as safety for the driver, the Super Carry comes with seat belt reminder, reverse parking sensors and lockable glove box. Maruti Suzuki Super Carry competes against Tata Ace.
