2025 BMW M3 Competition Officially Revealed

2025 BMW M3 Competition has been officially revealed, showcasing a series of updates that keep this iconic performance sedan at the forefront of its class. BMW has introduced several mid-cycle changes to the M3, including redesigned headlights and refined interior elements, alongside a notable power boost for the all-wheel-drive Competition model. The most significant enhancement comes from the reconfigured engine management system of the M3 Competition xDrive, which now delivers an impressive 523 hp—20 hp more than its predecessor.

Despite this increase, the torque remains unchanged at 669 Nm, maintaining the car’s swift 0-100 kph time of 3.4 seconds, identical to the 2024 model. The standard rear-drive M3 and M3 Competition retain their power outputs of 473 hp and 503 hp, respectively. All models share a top speed of 249 kph, which can be extended to 289 kph with the optional M Driver’s Package. Transmission options vary, with the Competition models equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the rear-wheel-drive M3 offers a six-speed manual for purists.

Enhanced stopping power is provided by six-piston front and single-piston rear callipers, and for those seeking weight savings, the optional M Carbon ceramic brakes reduce weight by approximately 30 pounds compared to the standard discs. Externally, the 2025 M3 features new LED headlights that integrate both low and high beams into a single module, accompanied by two arrow-shaped LED units for daytime running lights and turn signals. An outlined M3 badge now adorns the trunk lid, and new forged M alloy 825M wheels are available in a striking bright silver finish.

Inside, the updates continue with a redesigned three-spoke, flat-bottom M leather steering wheel, offered in Alcantara. The wheel features revised spokes and a red 12-o’clock centre marker. The 2025 M3 also comes with BMW’s latest infotainment software, version 8.5, which streamlines the controls for the automatic climate system, enhancing both functionality and user experience. With these updates, the 2025 BMW M3 Competition continues to blend cutting-edge technology with the exhilarating performance that enthusiasts expect from the M3 lineage.
